We checked in on Tessa during the night and she had a good night. Her oxygen saturation and blood pressure remained stable. We spoke with Dr. Hoffman this morning and he is pleased with her vitals. He does not plan to make any changes to her treatment today.
Tessa had a full body x-ray this morning. This allows the doctors to look at her edema, arterial line and catheter placement. Everything looked good. Her lactic acid level is still high but is slowly decreasing along with her liver enzyme levels. She is urinating some but hopefully her urine output will increase over time. This will help her eliminate the excess lactic acid. She is no longer receiving any sedation but is still very sleepy. Continue to rest little girl.
We are staying on course in running our ECMO marathon. Thanks to everyone here involved in Tessa's care. God is guiding the way.
Psalm 31:3
For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me.

Thank God for some good news!! Keep on "chuggin'" little one.
what great news that Tessa had a good night....take one step at a time..they may be ity bity steps-but at least they are steps...we worry about the three of you constantly day and night--anxiously waiting for updates on the website--last night I took some time and started reading the site again from day 1--reading and crying..staring at her picture again and again....Tessa has overcome so much since she has been brought into this world--the love and support from others and from her parents is amazing..she is being prayed for by people that don't even know her...the power of prayer is so strong -- everyday I am ask "HOW IS TESSA?" friends, neighbors, co-workers and even people that are relatives and friends of friends are asking about Tessa...well I just want to wish you sweet dreams and hope the three of you get a good nights sleep tonight..and remember--you can never say to many prayers..
love to all and good night..:)

GoD of Grace and God of Glory, I come to you standing on your word to petition for you child, Tessa. Father, in MATTHEW 7:7 Jesus taught "Ask and it will be given to you." Matthew 7:11 "How much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!" John 14:14 :"You may ask me for anything in my name." John 16:24" Until now, you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you shall receive and you joy will be complete."John 15 :7 "If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given to you." James 1:5 "If any one lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who generously gives to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him" James 4:2 You do not have, because you do not ask God. " That is your word.I believe every word is true. Lord have mercy. Help her. Touch her with your Healing Hands. Matthew, Mark and Luke all tell the story of Jesus healing the man with the withered hand. Touch Tessa's fingers and toes and restore them. I ask because I know you are able and because this will bring You glory,Lord, for every one to see Your wonderful works perfomed.Tnank you for your faithfulness, the strength you've give Tessa thus far, for your word , the psalms, and for being who You are,
Oh Tessa, to know her is to love her. You all at Brenners are in for a treat when you get to know her. Before her eye surgery, she could take all of her bottles, she passed her car seat test, she was nursing from her mother. She smiled. She liked to have her head rubbed. She like to be held for a snuggle after her feedings. She was very vigorous and strong; very full of life. Even during the last week before the transfer to Brenners, when she would open her eyes ,her nurses would always, "She still in there." My reason for telling you people at Brenners all this is because Tessa is worth it.We all at the NICU miss her very much.
