Progressing

Nurse Tisa made Tessa a new sign to commemorate her 100th day of life. It is special to us for obvious reasons. We love the footprint and handprints. Tessa had done well today but still has lots of secretions in her respiratory system from the RSV. They have to suction her nose, mouth and ventilator tube frequently. Sometimes she gets very agitated with the ventilator tube and we can only imagine how terrible it feels in her throat. We pray that God will ease the irritation while the ventilator is still necessary to support her breathing.
She likes sleeping on her stomach and they try to keep her in this position as much as possible for her comfort. They do have to reposition her frequently which helps to keep her lungs clear. She received her Zosyn antibiotic at 10:00 this evening and will receive another dose of Gentamicin at 3 am. The artline(arterial line) in her leg had to be removed so they will have to prick her foot again tonight to draw her blood gas tests. Nurse Cassandra is taking care of Tessa again tonight. Dear heavenly father, we come to you and humbly ask that you provide Tessa rest tonight. This we ask in your holy name. Amen.

Matthew 11:28
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
