Dr. Hines tells us this morning that it is time to "rock the boat." Tessa had a stable night but her kidneys are not pulling off enough fluid. She is still receiving more fluid than she is eliminating. They are in the process of reinstalling the hemofilter to extract the excess fluid from her blood. This could shut down her kidneys but is the best option they have right now to decrease the edema and move forward.
If she does go into renal failure and her kidneys shut down, they can connect a dialysis machine to the circuit and restart kidney function after she is removed from ECMO. It is amazing to us that this is even possible. God is overseeing Tessa's treatment and has given these doctors great wisdom and understanding.
We pray for a successful transition to the hemofilter and another stable day. They have removed the diuretic but Tessa remains on antibiotics and blood pressure medications. She is receiving sodium bicarbonate for acidosis. Her oxygen saturation remains stable and she has not needed any sedation. They are restarting her feedings today at 1ml per hour. God is working.
1 Chronicles 28:20
And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou hast finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD.

It is so wonderful that we have such an awesome God who can touch you sweet baby girl and heal her body. We continue to pray and wait for Him. We love you.

This is what I think. 1. Storms are inevitable. 2. Sometimetimes following Jesus leads us into storms. 3. Sometimes storms are tests of faith. In Matthew 8:23-25 Jesus made the point that fear was an indication of the absence of faith. Faith is the prime necessity for pleasing God.{Heb.11:6} Faith overcomes the world{1John4:4]Faith is the fuel of righteous living.{Habakkuk2:4] 4. Jesus goes with us through the storms. 5. Jesus can handle the storms. 6. We need to ask in faith believing with thanksgiving,
The three of you are in my thoughts and prayers. May today be another stable day and day of strengthening for all of you! She is a determined little girl, and misses her mommy and daddy getting to hold her, she has everything to fight for and she is doing just that. Praise be to God, for he is an awesome God! As your little princess is a miraculous wonder who is a true testament and gift of love!
I continue to be amazed at how many times in scripture God tells us "DO NOT BE AFRAID OR DISMAYED. Be STRONG AND COURAGEOUS FOR THE LORD YOUR GOD IS WITH YOU." Joshua 1:9 is where God tells it to Joshua, but the assurance of God being with us is repeated over and over. Tesssa, you definitely, are a banner for being brave and fearless and going wherever God has sent you. I know He has been with you every step of the way.
My thoughts and prayers continue to be with the three of you. The new technology and brilliant minds of the doctors is an awesome thing! Thanks so much for the constant updates, Anthony.
Love,
Nancy S.
Our thoughts and prayers are with ya'll too. May God continue to hold ya'll in his hands and may you feel His closeness all day long. We know today will probably be a tough day to day for ya'll, but we are praying that everything will go ok today and that your little precious girl won't have to go on dialysis. God is still in charge and He still knows what's best for Tessa. Please God, give Tessa the strength to overcome this and give Tessa's mommy and daddy strength throughout the day too. We will keep ya'll close to our hearts all day. We will keep checking back in with ya'll.

I am in nearly constant prayer for Tessa and both of you. She is on my mind so much of the time! God desires that we always be this dependent on Him. (I so seldom am) God is good and loves Tessa even more than you do.
Love,
Kerin
Tessa, I pray for you all the time. I pray that you are not in pain. I pray for you to feel God's presence. I pray for you to have strength. I envision you as a healthy, happy 2 year old plying with the pink cat stuffed animal I got for you.[Your mommy is saving it for you and will give it to you when you are better.] Faith means we look beyond the present and see the things that God promises us. If I could draw, I would plaster that picture everywhere so that people would start seeing with their hearts and not with their eyes only. You are a sweet joyful child and I love you. God has everything under control. We will trust Him.
IF OUR LOVE FOR YOU AND NANCY AND TESSA COULD HEAL...THE WORK WOULD BE DONE. JESUS WAS MOVED WITH COMPASSION AND THE HEALING CAME...REMEMBER. WE ARE STILL WITH U.

We are praying for another stable day and night. I know that God has given the doctors the wisdom to know what is best for Little Tessa. We continue to pray that her kidneys will do their job and God will see to it that her body heals. Our prayers are "day and night, night and day. Stay strong Baby Tessa, stay strong! We love you!" We ask that God watch over you and Anthony and comfort you, bring peace to your hearts and lots of rest to the 3 of you! Hang in there! We will pray continously! Sending all our love, thoughts, prayers, hugs and kisses!
Misti and the crew
I shared the story of Tessa with my Bible study class today. I told them that the faith of her parents is a shining testimony of God's grace and faithfulness. Continuing to pray. . .
"But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer".
"Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me".
This is a promise from God's word he will never leave us nor forsake us but go with us. We continue to pray, not only us but I believe thousand are praying for Tessa's healing. God can make this trail a blessing, although Tessa has been through so much, I just wonder how many people she has brought to Christ. The blessing will be Tessa's healing and the healing of Nancy & Anthony's hearts, the love for Tessa is so great. We ask you Lord to make them strong and Tessa stronger. We must keep the faith! We love you!Amen
