God's spirit of peace has certainly been with Tessa this evening. Although she is sick, she has been resting comfortably. She even opened her eyes briefly to say hello to daddy a few moments ago. She has beautiful eyes. It was a glorious gift to see them.
Tessa has lots of secretions and congestion but the latest x-ray showed her lungs have opened up a bit. The neonatologist tells us that this is a good sign. It indicates that the bacterial infection has not settled into her lungs and is being treated early. The bacteria may just be centered around the ventilator tube. The bronchial dialator and the diuretics are working to keep her lungs as clear as possible.
Nurse Tisa was successful in weaning Tessa's oxygen requirements throughout the day today. She has received her regular doses of antibiotics as scheduled and is still on the lipids and hyperale liquid nutrition. The bronchial dialator raises her heart rate a bit so they have changed the dose to every 6 hours rather than every 4 hours. Although she is not running a fever, she is sweating some as one would do with a viral infection. Mommy got to hold Tessa in her hands briefly while Nurse Terry changed her bedding. She has more blood tests and labs scheduled for tonight and we pray that the results are good. Nurse Cossandra is taking care of her tonight and we also pray that they have a good night.

All day has been a day of watch... the report is encouraging. We continue to pray and thank God for his blessings! I know his angels will sit at Tessa"s feet as she rest and continues her recovery.
Sleep little one sleep!
Any news of improvement is good news. Take one step at a time. God is working hard in NICU. I have always felt that Angel are walking the halls looking after the babies and helping the doctors and nurses.
May God bless you all

We hope and pray that Miss Tessa will continue to progress and heal.

I continue to pray and thank God for his care and for him watching over Tessa. She's a fighter! The report was certainly encouraging and hopefully this morning when you arrive it will be even better. Nancy and Anthony please take care of yourself also. Tessa needs you to be strong for her. Many prayers coming your way.
Love to all,
Dorie
WE are glad to see a good report.Soon she will be back in the growing room, in your arms and doing well. We will have special prayer for her at church this morning. We know God can heal her as he is doing. Nancy and Anthony, we prayer for your strength as well. We realize this is a great trail for you and little rest but much worry. Tessa is the joy the Lord has given you. I believe he will give you the strength and faith you need.
