Yeah. Tessa had two dirty diapers, one during the night and one this morning. She is handling her feedings well and is eliminating lots of fluid. We will continue to celebrate every small victory.
In the words of Dr. Hoffman, Tessa had an "interesting" night last night. He has been up with her since about 2am. The canula in her neck is very positional and are very sensitive to movement. Tessa has been moving a little too much and her blood gases during the night were not good. They made some adjustments to the canula and her blood gases this morning are back to what they were. Everything has to be monitored so very closely. They are starting continuous drips of morphine and versed to keep her slightly more sedated. She can still be awake but they don't want her trying to "help them out" with the canula position.
We are thankful to have so many supporters out there praying for Tessa. God is our rock and our fortress and he is working through all of you to give us strength.
Psalm 71:3
Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my fortress.

Hooray for poopy diapers! And thank God for the wonderful medical experts He has provided. They are blessing Tessa, and YOU are blessing and impacting them. "Never will I leave you;never will I forsake you" (Heb. 13:5).
Yippee for the poopy diapers! Way to go Tessa. We all celebrate with you in all of the victories - big or small. Each and every one of them is a step in the right direction. We praise God for his mighty works!
Love you guys,
Melissa
Hooray for Little Tessa! We should, as you say, celebrate every small victory! It sounds to me like Little Tessa is letting all the doctors know that she is still very much in charge of things with the positioning of the nasal canula. Keep fighting Little Tessa! God has given her the strength and he will continue to guide her during this healing process. We all know she is a trooper! Our prayers continue and we will not stop! We hope you all are getting lots of rest! Sending all our love!

Glad to hear that y'all had a poopy diaper . . . little steps turn into giant leaps. We continue to pray for y'all. Tessa is just making sure the doctors and nurses know she is in "charge" with all the moving around. We will continue to keep y'all in our hearts and prayers!

We (like so many )are glad to hear that Tessa is pooping. We are so glad for every good little step huh? I also agree that Little Tessa is trying to tell them that she is still very much in "control" and that she is still going to fight and pull through this whole thing. We can not be anymore happier than to hear that she is making alittle progress. Tessa, we know you want very much to get better, and we want you better real soon but try to rest more that way you will get better quicker and the doctors won't have to sedate you so much. You are a blessing to everyone and a light in you mommy and daddy's life. Please get better soon. We love you. We'll check on you later tonight. We send our hugs and kisses.
