We sincerely ask for prayer. This morning at 3am we received a call from the neonatologist asking us to come to the hospital. They switched Tessa from the conventional ventilator to the oscillator around midnight. Unfortunately it initially did little to improve her condition. Her blood carbon dioxide level topped 100 and her blood oxygen saturations were around 60%. They have suspended her feedings, given her a second steroid and have started her on very small amounts of nitric oxide gas. This is mixed very precisely with the air from the oscillator and helps to relax her lungs. This is an hour by hour and sometimes a minute by minute vigil. Her recent blood oxygen saturations have increased to around 80% and her latest carbon dioxide level was 69. These are signs of improvement.
We will be here with her all day and are obviously very worried. It is difficult to maintain composure but we want to be here for Tessa and trust that God will bring us through. We pray that the inflammation will decrease and her lungs will become more efficient in absorbing oxygen and eliminating carbon dioxide. We know that many of you are joining us in constant prayer.
Hebrews 10:23
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

Trust that God has not given you anything he doesn't thing you are strong enough to handle. She was given to you because of your strength and love. One of my favorite quotes is "When you're down to nothing, God is up to something." Imagine what an incredible person she will grow up to be after overcoming such a rough start. Keep your faith, and we'll all keep praying for you and your family.
Tessa has been put on the prayer chain at Sierra Christian Center in Rockingham NC.. They will be praying for healing in Tessa's body.

2Corinthians 2:5" Live by faith not by sight." I am praying for our precious little Tessa. Psalm 50:15 " When I call on God in the day of trouble, He will deliver me and I will honor glorify Him."
May your faith in God and love for Tessa bring you through to brighter days. Yes, God doesn't give you anymore than you can handle. Love the quote "When you're down to nothing. God is up to something" !!!
Prayers coming from Eaglet Momsters!!
Psalm 55:22 I leave my trobles with the Lord and He will defend me;He never lets honest people be defeated. Psalm94:17-19 Unless the Lord had been my help, I would soon have dwelt in silence. When I said "My foot is slipping " Your mrcy and loving kindness held me up. Your comforts cheer and delight my soul.
Nancy,
You guys are constantly in my prayers. Tessa is already proof that there is much power in prayer! May God heal her quickly and keep your spirits high!

Hey Nancy and Anthony, I am parying for strength for you two and for little Miss Tessa to get better and I pray that you will feel Gods hand on your family more that ever."Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you, I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid (John 14:27)."
Please let me know if you need anything, I can bring food during nurse change, go get anything you need or just come and sit what ever you need or want I will do my best to do it.
"Those who hope in the LORD will renew their strenght. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31." This is what I pray for Tessa.

When I was reading the latest post I looked at a quote that I have hanging on my cubicle wall....When things aren't going the way you hoped for remember: God won't give us more then we can handle, just enough to remind us how much we really do need him and how awesome he really is. Keep your strong faith! God is holding Tessa in his strong hands and he will heal her. There are many prayers going up for your family right now. You have such a strong daughter. Lots of thoughts and prayers...
Love you guys,
Melissa

Hebrews 13:6 I take comfort and am encouraged and confidently say " The Lord is my Helper; I will not be seized with alarm. I will not fear or dread or be terrified.
Nahum 1:7 The Lord is good, a Strength and Stronghold in my day of trouble; He knows those who take refuge and trust in Him.
Tessa and you remain in my thoughts and prayers. I pray that she is well soon.

Praying hard in Leesburg for "our" little girl and the two of you.

Another Bible verse...
Matt 10:29-31 "Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows."
I love this verse, as all our lives are always just hanging by a thread, no matter if we are healthy or fragile. Thankfully, the one holding the thread is God Almighty. And He loves us more than we can ever know.
Thinking of you during this difficult and tenuous time.
Nancy, Anthony & Little Tessa, we are praying for you all. We know God is with you! Hang in there, please keep the faith! I love the quote "when your down to nothing, God is up to something"....I know that the prayers are pouring for the 3 of you. Little Tessa knows you all are there with you. She is an angel and God will continue to hold her in his hands! Keep your baby close~~~she needs you!
Sending all our love!

Hugs and prayers go out to you from the Montgomerys. We're in Chapel Hill wishing we were in Greensboro to physically be with you in your time of need. God has BIG plans for our precuious little ones. I was reminded by a friend of a verse that promises us that. Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord, plans to give you a future and a hope." So there you have it-in HIS true and inerrant Word. Evan and Tessa are in His hands.
Love you
Toni and Chad
Anthony, Nancy, and Bay TEssa, we prayor you daily and know that God's love will continue to bless your family. Love, Diane, Greg, and kids
I can't imagine the fear that the two of you had when the phone rang in the early morning hours...when I read the blog this morning when I got to work, I couldn't help but to cry..not just tear up but literally cry...my heart breaks knowing that there is nothing that we can do to relieve your pain..we feel so helpless...then when you called me this morning it started all over again....everyone at work has been checking the site and I have received emails and calls all day long....everyone is praying for little Tessa and hopes that she gets better REAL soon...When I got home there were several messages from different people that wanted to know how she is doing.....I know that the only place you want to be right now is with your little angel...just remember we are all here if there is something that we can do or anything that your need, please call...Grandma is worried about all three of you....please Nan--you and Anthony please try to get some rest...I know its easy to say that...but Tessa needs your strength ..
love and miss you all....
