Relaxin'

Tessa had a fairly relaxed day today. They increased the volume of her milk to 24ml per feeding and also increased the amount of lipids (fat) that is added. Fattening her up seems to be working because her weight is now 2lb 14oz and growing every day.
The physical therapist came yesterday and examined Tessa for muscle tone and range of motion. She has underdeveloped muscle tone in her tummy and back which is a condition called hypotonia. This is common in preemie babies. As Tessa spends more time awake on her tummy she will build these muscles and they will get stronger. The physical therapist will closely follow Tessa's progress until she is two years old and work with her if needed.
God has blessed us with a beautiful daughter. She is growing more every day and we are thankful. Praise to our Lord.

Genesis 1:31
And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.

Everyday she's getting bigger and cuter in front of our eyes. I scroll down and see her first pictures and it's truely amazing how much she's changed and grown. She is a gorgeous little girl and we all know she is blessed by God to have the two of you for parents.

Ya'll are so blessed with such a wonderful group of doctors and nurses to watch over your baby girl.
Oh and by the way, Tessa really does look just like her daddy in the "swaddled" picture!!

Precious! What a wonderful "peaceful" picture! That's the life Tessa girl, enjoy! Don't we all wish we could be doing that right now? I know in my heart God will continue to watch over Tessa and provide her with the strength she needs to grow. She is absolutely adorable! God Bless all 3 of you! Sending all our love! Enjoy your day!
