Feeding Time

Tessa is making remarkable progress. Today they increased her total milk volume at each feeding to 25ml. Because Tessa was awake, Nurse Allyson decided to let daddy try bottle feeding and she drank 9ml of milk by bottle at her 5:00 feeding. Later she drank 10ml by bottle at her 8:00 feeding with Nurse Rose. The remainder is given to her through her feeding tube. She has some priceless facial expressions but it was wonderful to see her sucking from a bottle. As she continues to master her breathing, she will begin taking more and more milk on her own. Mommy and daddy could barely contain their excitement.
At the official weigh-in today, Tessa also became a member of the 3lb club. Her weight today was 3lb 1oz. Although still small, she seems to be growing so fast. We can definitely tell a big difference in her size in just the last week. There is no doubt that God hears and answers prayer.
