Blow And Grow

Daddy got to spend the whole day with Tessa today because he was off from work. Mommy was jealous but was able to get off a little early. Tessa had a good day. She did not have any bradycardia during the night last night and only had two bradycardia today. She is improving each day.
She is still at 6.4ml per hour on her feedings and her weight today was 2lb 4oz. She has not gained much recently and actually lost some weight in the past couple of days because the diuretic helps her eliminate excess fluids. Starting today, they are now adding lipids(fat) to her milk. This should help her gain weight. Although everything is not mixed every time, now she is getting breast milk, HMF (Human Milk Fortifier), Zantac for reflux, an iron supplement, a beneprotein supplement and caffeine. Sounds yummy!
Regardless of how it sounds, we are truly grateful that all of her feedings go through her stomach and not through an IV. It is helping her gain strength every day. God tells us to ask and he will give to us. He has given us a glorious gift and is answering our prayers and all who have prayed on our behalf.
