Signs of Progress

There is no denying that today has been difficult. It was so nice to have Mom, Granny, Doug, Angie, Bonnie, Rhonda, & Julie here with us. Family is so important to us.
Tessa has been heavily sedated most all day. She is still on the high frequency jet ventilator and it is important that she let it do its work. It is just hard to see her so non-responsive. She received two doses of sodium bicarbonate for her blood today and continues to receive liquid nutrition through her IV. She did not receive any antibiotics today because her levels from the last dose were still too high and they have not resumed her feedings of breast milk.
There were some signs of progress today and we thank the Lord above for his touch. Tessa's blood pressure has come back up and actually it is now a little high so they are reducing her dosage of dopamine. This evening, they were able to wean her oxygen on the ventilator to 70% and her blood gases were better. She is urinating well which is a very good sign. Daddy even got to change the diaper.
Thanks so much to everyone for their prayers. There are so many of you that we don't even know. Uncle Donnie and Aunt Patty sent us the following verse today and we know that God cares for us and little Tessa very much.
