Planning Ahead

Tessa has proven to everyone here at Brenners that she is a fighter. She did not like getting the x-ray or the echocardiogram again today. Nurse Pamela had to hold her still so they could get a good reading. This strong spirit will be helpful to her in the days and weeks to follow.
Her vital signs have been good except for the oxygen desaturations. Her blood sugar was 110 and her weight was again 1lb 9oz. She is now almost 4 weeks old and still there is no gain in weight but that will come in due time.
The doctors are now starting to recognize a correlation between her oxygen desaturations, low blood pressure and her PDA. They have decided to go ahead and schedule surgery for next Wednesday. They will continue to monitor her progress between now and then and will conduct another echocardiogram on Monday morning. The cardiologist is going to meet with us on Monday at 2:00 to finalize plans for surgery if it is still needed. It appears that they will make the final decision on Monday regarding surgery. Continue in prayer for Tessa's healing, with or without surgery. With our Lord's help, we will claim victory. Tessa is in his loving hands.

Exodus 14:14
The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
