Tessa is still sleeping this morning. She does move around a little in response to voices or touch. Sometimes she will suck a little on her ventilator tube. The sedative she received during surgery yesterday is still in her system so they have given her a diuretic to help her eliminate it more quickly. She has not been on any strong medications lately so she no longer has the tolerance to them that she once had. Her eyes are a little more red and puffy this morning but this is expected. There is nothing unusual that is causing postsurgery concern among the doctors.
We expected her to wake up sooner but as she begins to wake up, they will continue to wean her ventilator settings so they can remove her from the vent. We pray that this process will go smoothly.

Praying that little Sleeping Beauty will wake up soon, get off the vent, and slurp down a big meal!
She is too cute, even while sleeping! Trust me, at our house, that's when mine are the cutest!
Sending hugs and lots of love!

Praying for a great day today.
Love you all!
We were so relieved to hear that Tessa's surgery went well. Look forward to seeing those big brown eyes again!!!

We have been keeping up with little Tessa every day but have just not had time to post our comments every day like we've wanted. We are sorry to hear that your Little angel had to have surgery on her eyes but are glad to know everything went ok. We hope that Little Tessa heals quickly and that she will not need any other surgeries. Keep growing Tessa and hope you are able to come home soon! There is alot of people praying for you and your parents! Nancy, Anthony & Tessa, if we haven't got to tell you yet we hope you have a good 2008! Just keep your eyes to the skies! We think of ya'll daily and keep you in our prayers.
Joya, David & Family
