RSV

Unfortunately, we received word from the nurse practitioner today that Tessa has been diagnosed with RSV(Respiratory Syncytial Virus). RSV is a respiratory virus having flu-like symptoms that is most common in children less than 1 year of age. There is no specific treatment for the virus. Basically, it must be allowed to run it's course. They will allow Tessa time for recovery, provide lots of fluids, and keep her as comfortable as possible.
It may take 7 days or more for the virus to run it's course. In the meantime, they have placed Tessa back on the lipids(fats) and hyperale liquid nutrition through her IV. She will not resume her feedings and will probably stay on the ventilator. The is not the news that we wanted to hear but there is comfort in knowing a diagnosis. Continue in prayer for our precious little girl.

Proverbs 30:5
Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

We pray for Baby Tessa:

Lord Jesus Christ, Good Shepherd of the sheep, you gather the lambs in your arms and carry them in your bosom: We commend to your loving care this child Tessa. Relieve her pain, guard her from all danger, restore to her your gifts of gladness and strength, and raise her up to a life of service to you. Hear us, we pray, for your dear Name's sake. Amen.

A Prayer for Baby Tessa

Prayer for a Sick Child
People were bringing even infants to him that he might touch them… Jesus called (the children)…and said the kingdom of God belongs (to them). … Luke 18: 15-17

Dear Lord Jesus,
You treasured children so much that You taught our hearts should become like theirs if we would enter the kingdom of heaven: and You would not allow anyone to keep the children from You.
Be with Tessa, this beloved child of Yours, now in her illness and suffering.
Gather Tessa into Your caring arms during her time of sickness and grant her the peace, and the comfort, and rest which You alone can give. Let Tessa know how much You love her and that You suffer with her in her hurting. Protect, bless, guard, and comfort Tessa with the caring and compassion which You alone can give. Amen

Another nicu rollercoaster!!!!!
We have all had our share of them. But by the grace of God we have came threw them. Tessa will surely be fine because God will continue to hold her in his hands. We will soon ride the rollercoaster again only in another hospital. But MaKayla like Tessa has been sheltered in the arms our Lord Jesus Christ for many months. He has but these little girls here for a reason. And we all know that he will continue to heal them and take care of them. Give Miss Tessa a hug and a kiss from all of us and we will see you soon. Nancy and Anthony get some rest, Tessa will be well taken of.
I'll say a special pray for her tonight.
May God be with you

Father, I am so glad we can come to you for comfort. There is nothing we face that You haven't seen,no hurt You don't understand. I know You care ,that You are there to lend the strength Anthony and Nancy need now. Help them Lord. Thank you for your precious sustenance when we need your tender touch and we are unable to carry ourselves. Please watch over Tessa and restore her to health. Thank you for Your unfailing faithfulness. Amen

We are all praying for Little Tessa! She truly is a fighter and we all know that God will guide her through this storm, as he has, with the previous storms. Although this is a set back, we hope that you find some comfort in the fact that she was there at the hospital and not at home and then had to return for another visit. We know that God is providing her with the strength that she needs and her rest is so important right now. Nancy and Anthony, please try to get as much rest as possible too, I'm sure it's not easy but it is so important, Little Tessa needs you both to stay healthy! We do hope that you 3 enjoy your time together this weekend~~she knows that you are there with her even when she is sleeping! Hugs and kisses to all 3 of you!

Hey you two. I am so sorry to read of the RSV. You would think she would be sheltered from things like that there in the NICU. I pray for a fast recovery and I'm so sorry for the setback. I hope that she is resting peacefully and kicks the virus quickly.

Lots of thoughts and prayers your way as always.

Love
Shelly

Nancy, Anthony and Tessa my eyes have filled with tears as I read the update on Tessa, and then I thought to myself I should not be sad because our Lord is holding her in His arms. He will help her to get stronger and feel better each day. Please know that many people are praying for y'all each day and night and that we all are thankful that you have allowed us on your journey. Tessa is a special little girl and I am sure she is in wonderful hands. Our thoughts and prayers are with y'all!
