We have been preparing for laser eye surgery tomorrow by providing Tessa with as much love as possible today. We can certainly now relate to the love God feels for us as his children. She is such a special little girl. We have received so many words of encouragement today from so many people and we are thankful that the Lord has provided us with such wonderful friends. Nana and Auntie Angie spent most of the day with us and it was great to have them here today. Nana held Tessa for the first time today and enjoyed it immensely. She did not want to let her go.
Tessa's weight today is 4lb 6oz. This is the same as yesterday. She has taken all of her feedings both days by bottle and has not needed a feeding tube. We are in prayer that she can resume her feedings very soon following surgery.
The surgery was originally scheduled for 12 noon tomorrow but has been moved up to 9 am. Say a special prayer for Tessa at this time. In total it should take about two hours and the laser procedure usually takes about 25 minutes for each eye. They will suspend her feedings at 2am, begin IV fluids at around 5am and place her on the ventilator at 6am. It will be a tough night for us but we know that God is watching over our little girl and keeping her safe. Many thanks to all of you for your continuing prayers and support.

I was in bed getting ready to say a prayer for you guys and I thought to myself...I need to check Tessa's website to see if anything has changed. Sure enough...the surgery time has changed. I'm glad to know that so we can say a special prayer during that time. I'm off to bed and will include Tessa in my prayers as always. What a blessing to have met you guys!!!
