Today, Tessa turned two months old. Happy Birthday Tessa! She may be the one with the birthday but mommy and daddy are actually the ones who received the gift. We sing praises unto the Lord for his miraculous works.
Tessa still seemed a little groggy from the Tylenol when we wished her a Happy Birthday this morning but she couldn't sleep too long because today had several more surprises in store. Fortunately, there were no more shots. They did increase her feedings from 6.4ml/hour to 7ml/hour and her weight today was 2lb 10oz. Grow Tessa, grow. Only 6 more ounces to go and she will reach the 3 pound mark. The respiratory therapist also removed Tessa from the high flow nasal cannula and replaced it with a standard nasal cannula at 1 liter flow of oxygen per minute. After all the activity, Tessa was a little agitated this evening but found calm in mommy and daddy's arms just before nursing shift change tonight. As always, it was hard putting her back to bed and wishing her a good night but we know that God has placed her in very capable hands.

Good Morning Tessa!!!
Hope you had a great birthday....did mommy & daddy give you that big kiss for me...? If they didn't-=you better tell them to.....we are excited about you gaining weight....pretty soon you will be a big girl....well hope you have a good day and remember we all love you.... :)

Glad to hear Tessa has gained even more weight---"grow Tessa grow". I'm sure she wasn't feeling well after the shots but hopefully she will be feeling better today. I hope you all get some much needed rest this weekend and lots of "cuddle" time too! Our thoughts and prayers are with you all! God Bless each of you!
