Today has been filled with good news. During rounds, the doctors decided to remove the CPAP and try Tessa on the high flow nasal cannula. She did great and has maintained her blood oxygen levels. She is no longer on the CPAP or connected to any IV lines. If it is not needed after a few days, they will remove the PICC line in Tessa's arm.
There are still a few tubes and wires but they are getting fewer and fewer. Daddy and mommy both got to hold their little girl today for some kangaroo care. Everyone loved it. We each got to hold her for a considerable amout of time and she responded very well. Kangaroo care is such a wonderful bonding experience. Our hearts are bursting with pride. Tessa is not quite ready yet but mommy and baby will be nuzzling up together in no time. We are so encouraged by such a great day. God's work is magnificent.

O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.

Beautiful picture......hopefully soon you will be holding her like that all the time....Since Tessa is progressing more and more each day--it will not be long before Nan can start breast feeding her...what a moment that will be....all three of you will be tearing up....and us toooooo....we are so glad things are going well and we noticed Tessa seems to like her picture being taken....she looks like she is starting to pose in each one....(she likes the spotlight)....well can't wait to see you again....xxooxx
Grandma sends BIG hugs and kisses...

God is good! I am so glad to hear Tessa is doing so well. In no time at all, you will be holding her all the time. She is a precious little girl. I love to read the updates each day and my son (he's 2) still asks to see the baby and when he sees her he says Get Well, Tessa. You are in our thoughts and prayers daily!

What a miracle! God is so faithful in answering our prayers for this little doll. Isn't it awesome to know that the mighty God of the Universe is cradling her in His arms?
I am so glad to hear your baby girl Tessa is off the CPAP! She looks so comfy to have you holding her! That is such a priceless picture huh? Tessa is doing so wonderful. I know it won't be too long before Tessa will be off of everything and ya'll will be able to take her home! I know ya'll can't wait huh? I agree that Tessa looks like she is getting use to all the pictures. She will be so happy when she gets older to know that ya'll took all those pictures of her and her milestones. You never know one day she might be "Miss USA" or "Miss North Carolina"! We are still praying for you! Keep the up-dates coming!
