Rub A Dub Dub

Nurse Allyson helped us give Tessa her first bath this afternoon. Now that she is bigger she will get a bath twice weekly. She first washed her body with soap and a washcloth while in the isolette and then she took Tessa out of the isolette to wash her hair with shampoo and water. Next time, mommy and daddy will be in charge of the bath.
Tessa had a great weekend. She is still at 6.4ml per hour on her feedings and is gaining weight. She now weighs 2lb 7oz. We are still dealing with a few bradycardia but otherwise her vital signs are good.
Nana and Tottie Sadler visited today in addition to Grandma and cousin Danielle. They left today around 12 noon to return home to northern Virginia but Nana and Tottie stayed until later in the day. Tessa welcomed them all with bright eyes, open arms and big smiles. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful and supportive family. Thanks to all of you.

Jeremiah 17:7
Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.

Praising God that Tessa continues to "grow and blow".

I keep following Tessa's progress on your blogspot and she is such an inspiration. What an adorable little baby and what a fighter. I will continue to pray for Tessa and for your family.

Just think, it won't be long and she will be "splishin and a splashin" in the sink at home! Those truly are the moments, everything will be soaked, including mommy and daddy! She is adorable! We are all so happy to hear that she is gaining weight---as Connor says "grow Tessa grow!". We are all praying that she will soon be going home! You all are in our thoughts and prayers! God Bless each of you! With all our love!
